The rentaikei + そう (sou) is used to describe "hearsay".
It is only used for information you got from a third party. It is
often followed by a form of "de aru" (da / desu).

NOTE: The verb preceding "sou"
cannot be in the polite form. To make the sentence polite, the main
or closing verb should be in the polite form.
